We are eager to help you to obtain the information necessary to make an informed decision on whether homeschooling is right for you and/or whether Calvert's program will benefit your child.

Online Information Sessions

We hold interactive online presentations on various topics to assist our families and those considering homeschooling to learn more. Topics covered by the online information sessions include: strategies for effective homeschooling and general tips on home education; Internet safety tips for your family; and identifying language-based learning differences and how the Calvert-Jemicy Pilot Program can help. Pre-registration and the downloading of software enabling you to participate are necessary.

Networking

Calvert offers Family Networking, where we put you in touch with one or two Calvert families in your area. Usually those families are willing to answer questions about using Calvert courses, and sometimes they will even agree to show others their Calvert course materials.

Sample Lessons

We also provide sample lessons, which give you a representative sample of what a lesson in a Calvert course would look like. The samples offer at least one page from each textbook, as well as a representational sampling of all subjects within each grade. You can find them for each grade by going to the Curriculum by Grade section of the Calvert website.
