 Mary and Debbie

Placement Counselor Mary Hoskowitz (right) and Placement Representative Debbie Carrington are ready to assist parents in making the best choices for their children’s academic success.

Placement

Determining the appropriate Calvert course for your child sets the stage for a successful year. Our placement test evaluates your child's readiness for a Calvert course, and identifies areas for improvement for a smooth transition into the course.

In Math, we evaluate more than whether your child arrives at the correct answer; we analyze how he or she arrived at the answer, which provides a better assessment of your child's Math skills.

We ask for a writing sample, which allows us to evaluate writing mechanics, grammar, vocabulary and spelling levels, sentence structure, content, and organization skills.
