Mission
Through preparation, action, and reflection, Calvert's Outreach Program seeks to promote a lifelong awareness of and commitment to community.
Vision
Calvert's Outreach Program aims to accomplish its mission through a triad of service: partnership drives, theme driven service projects, and outreach opportunities outside the Calvert community. The table below shows our vision in further detail:

Brief Introduction
Beginning in August of 2008, Community Outreach will be integrated into the curriculum. A newly formed committee is dedicated to evaluating our current program, solidifying our partnerships with community organizations, and implementing new and meaningful activities for our students.
Our website and blog (www.calvertoutreach.blogspot.com) is intended to bring awareness to our readers about our commitment to the greater community and highlight the things we are doing. Through the outreach program, the student body's awareness of the community outside Calvert -people, needs, problems, triumphs, and failures - is augmented. As a result, students develop a deeper understanding of and appreciation for the greater community to which they belong. Starting in 6th Age and continuing through 8th grade our students will prepare for, engage in, and reflect on community outreach.
"Outreach at a Glance" provides summaries of the various community outreach activities we have undertaken throughout the year.
"Faculty Corner" and "Student Corner" celebrates any outside service opportunities in which our students or faculty have taken part.
"Family Opportunities" is a place where we highlight what Calvert families are doing outside of school. If you are interested in participating in these opportunities, click on the available links.
"Program" provides a detailed look at what we currently do as a school. This page will be updated as the program evolves.
