Calvert Math
A solid foundation for higher-level math skills
Calvert Math, our award-winning program for Kindergarten through Eighth Grade, teaches key math skills and how to apply them to everyday life situations. Our program places strong emphasis on the higher level critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Students explore concepts using daily lessons with colorful, clearly designed pages and easy-to-understand, step-by-step directions.
Our lessons introduce a concept, and students practice it, combining the new material with previously learned skills in an ever-expanding spiral of skill development. Children master basic facts and concepts, going beyond the mechanics to become confident mathematicians.
Each Calvert Math course includes a textbook, workbook, Lesson Manual, and grade-appropriate supplies, such as counting blocks, punch-out manipulatives, a compass, or a protractor, to enhance the learning experience. We also offer optional math manipulatives kits with suggested activities. We recognize that a student’s math placement may be different than his or her core subject placement; when enrolling in Calvert’s First through Eighth Grades, you may select the appropriate grade level of math for your child. For advanced students, we also offer an Algebra course.
